Recently, a few readers have asked how to know what date these posts are published. Unfortunately, the template I’m using doesn’t include the dates. But, there is a way around that.
If you’ll look at the time stamp on the post, the minutes value will always reflect the date of the post. For example, if something is published at 6:16am, that means it is the 16th day of the month. (You can usually see the month from the comments or from the archive heading) Although I’ve been using this system for several months, it won’t apply to the earliest blog posts.
This post will publish at 5:13pm because it is March 13th.
Questions?
(2021 Update: This blog has changed templates and, now, domains/hosts so this post is now moot.)

Yeah. Why not just use an unencoded date-system that human beings can decipher at first glance?

I would like to, but as I stated, this template does not allow it.

I’m not sure the times actually reflect the dates. Wouldn’t 5:13=May 13th? And the other posts don’t seem to reflect the dates accurately, either.
I don’t worry about it too much. Most posts have comments, and the first comment was usually posted within the same day, right? At least that’s the way it seems to me. The comments are dated, so if I really want to find out when something was posted, I can look at that.
One option for you might be to simply add the date to the body of each post. It might not look awesome, but if you’re worried about dating the posts, that would be an easy, non-programmy solution.

I received an email in my inbox yesterday, and I thought it was from TM. But the link led me to this website.
It’s very concerning to me that I’ve been out of TM for about seven years now, and look back on those days to understand where some of you guys are coming from. No orginization is perfect, and neither are we. But if you don’t get both sides of the story then you don’t have an accurate representation of the whole truth.
I have a question though, and you could email me directly at elmosilva@hotmail.com, hwat would you personally have done differently with the year you went to TM. What things would you change about the structure of the program. I’m interested in hearing your reponse. Take it easy. – Elmo

I nearly always post in the 6:00am hour, so that has no bearing on the date. Only the minutes.
Honestly, I didn’t think anyone cared about the dates, but if you guys tell me its important enough, I’ll include it in the posts. But, you can pretty much see it in the comment thread.
