I was a intern 07-08 and was dismissed at the beginning of the summer of 08,(only needed my missions trip to graduate). I was dismissed due to “romantic involvement” of which nothing was ever proven. In truth nothing happened between her and I, and even today we talk as brother and sister. She was at my wedding last may, with no bitterness between us.

During my honor council case I was told in a long winded speech that I in no way could have honour other than that of the honor academy. )*and yes I am using 2 spellings on purpose*) At the start of this issue, my CA took me out to the back 40 after lights out, and refused to let me leave till I confessed that I had messed up.

So once again we can see that there is a spiritually abusive environment at the HA.

I was part of the marketing department. During my internship I went through 3 managers. The first left due to issues with HA business practices. The second because, well he didn’t fit in (and honestly after getting to know him outside of HA he shouldn’t have gotten hired).

I had and still have many friends involved with the ministry, some say good things and others bad. I learned of many interns that were given favor on their requirements because certain staff members liked them, including the female I was “romantically involved with” who not only didn’t get dismissed but was given no consequences because a staff member defended her.

Unfortunately, when I left I had been disillusioned to the point that I thought it was my fault and that the relationship between us was wrong. My parents still believe that it was my fault, they have forgiven me so there is no need to tell them otherwise.

I agree with many things in your blog, a lot of them are still issues no matter what TM staff says.
