Spiritual Abuse Awareness Month

January is Spiritual Abuse Awareness Month. In honor of that, our very own Eric P. has compiled a great list of spiritual abuse resources. With his typical candor and brevity, he breaks down why spiritual abuse is so harmful:

It’s bad because it hurts people.

It’s worse because it hurts people and tells them they deserve it.

It’s worst because it hurts people and teaches them that God does too.

Also, I have received two very explosive stories and plan to share them with you next week. So, check back Monday!

And if you’d like to share your story, please email me at stories at recoveringalumni.blog. I know there are still a lot of you out there. 🙂

I recommend reading Eric P’s post on Sadducees. Wow! Spiritual abusers have more than the face of a Pharisee.
