Who Cares?

Every time this song comes on the radio, it reminds me of the Honor Academy. Sing along in freedom. 🙂

Who cares if you disagree?
You are not me
Who made you king of anything?
So you dare tell me who to be?
Who died and made you king of anything?

You sound so innocent, all full of good intent
Swear you know best
But you expect me to jump up on board with you
And ride off into your delusional sunset

I’m not the one who’s lost with no direction
But you’ll never see
You’re so busy making maps with my name on them in all caps
You got the talking down, just not the listening

And who cares if you disagree?
You are not me
Who made you king of anything?
So you dare tell me who to be?
Who died and made you king of anything?

I don’t really get how this relates to the HA.

@Anonymous – Because they lorded over us. They make themselves ‘king’ over interns every single day. And it’s sickening.

But what would I know? I was only there for three years.

Anonymous: LOL, do you seriously not know how this relates? I must have gone to a different internship than you did. Interns LOVE to confront each other. And so do the staff. It’s a confrontational environment. And sometimes, honestly, people should mind their own business instead of disguising gossip and nosiness as confrontation and “speaking into your life”. I was jamming to this song on the radio this morning on my way to a coffee with a friend from church who wanted to confront me on something. So fitting, tee hee.

That rocked and is so true. The first song that made me reflect on my time in the HA was Fake It by Seether. The cussing felt appropriate.

Ha! I LOVE this song. Definitely think it applies to TM. I unfortunately, think of my husband when I sing it.
