The parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector from Luke 18 (in present day terms).
To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the auditorium to pray, one an Honor Academy intern and the other a namby-pamby Christian who didn’t read their Bible every day and was not very committed. The intern stood up and prayed about himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men โ mediocre, uncommitted, backslidersโor even like this weak Christian. I fast every week and give a tenth of all I get.’
“But the namby-pamby Christian stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

And those of us who were that intern have all been humbled, that’s for sure.
This is great.

Are there no critical thinkers on this site that can unpack these obstinate posts?

On the contrary! It is we, the critical thinkers, who can see through the TM BS!

But yeah, great one RA. There’s so many scriptures you could bring to light. Let’s say, for example, the beloved scripture on commitment taken from Joshua 9 about the Gibeonites – you know, the one that gets thrown at you from all angles when you try to leave the HA. Re-read it and you’ll see that the HA are the Gibeonites – the deceivers that deceive Israel into making a covenant with them.

What is ridiculous about it?
Jesus told this story to the religious authorities of his day. Its offensive then and I guess its still offensive now.

RA,
Why do you continue to cause division? Forgive those at TM that caused you offense and give it over to God. You are recipient of God’s grace and forgiveness. Extend grace and forgiveness to those who have hurt you.
“I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.” – 1 Corinthians 1:10
“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13
