Board of Directors Update

I spoke with Dr. Mark Lewandowski on Friday. He has compiled all the stories that you sent in and passed them on to the rest of the Board of Directors (a total of 60 pages). In order to protect your identity, he first removed your names and any identifying details.

The Board has a meeting scheduled for this week. Our stories will be one of the main topics of conversation. After the meeting, Mark will update me on what they have decided on as a course of action.

Please pray this week that the truth will be exposed and that the Board will have both the wisdom and the courage to take the proper action.

Now, continue reading below for today’s regularly scheduled post. 🙂

That is awesome RA! Thanks for all of your hard work regarding this! I hope that the Board sees that the author of the stories are not just bitter, angry people, but rather people that truly wish for change at the HA.

You know what’s cool? Seeing something I prayed for five years ago happening today; that’s what’s cool.

I hope my story made it in time!

Tremendous. I hope they hear what we have to say. Thank you, RA, for all of your commitment and work.

Where’s the ‘like’ button??

I’ve been praying for this all weekend… no matter what happens, it’s good that at least they’re taking action. I’m excited to see what they decide to do 🙂

I’ll put in a good word in my prayers tonight for you. Good luck. And good for you for doing this in a peaceful manner. : )

Anon 7:28 For the most part I hope RA keeps helping others. God is healing the hearts of many through this site.

I don’t know about everyone else but this site has been more to me than trying to get TM to make some changes. The HA may or may not ever make any changes but my hope is not assured in what they do. I put my faith in Jesus and believe that He will finish the good work that He began here. Thanks RA for being so bold and helping others.

RA- do you know when you will get an answer?

Thanks for putting all of this out for the head hanchos to see. Changes are needed there as well at the Honor Academy of the Ozarks. I went to HAO Jun-Feb of 2010 and I was one of 4 interns to leave in less than a month. 4 out of 9 leaving, thats a problem that the church leadership refuses to see and that the board of directors needs to see.

sgsuperman – I don’t know anything about HAO. Would you write me at recoveringalumni at hotmail dot com? I’d like to find out more.

Anonymoussays:April 21, 2010 at 12:46 AMReply

This is great news!

Heathersays:April 26, 2010 at 9:53 AMReply

Any news on the meeting?

Recovering Alumnisays:April 26, 2010 at 10:42 AMReply

I just spoke with my contact on the Board. He was unable to attend the meeting due to an emergency, so he will speak with the other board members to get caught up and will give me an update by the end of the week.

CarrieSaumsays:April 26, 2010 at 1:07 PMReply

i wonder if there is any way to get the meeting minutes? just to verify that our case was heard.

also, that is disappointing that your contact couldn’t make it.

Shannon Kishsays:May 1, 2010 at 12:38 AMReply

I would love to be able to get meetings minutes.
